Why have we set up the Water4Life forum?

Chief Executive of the Environment Agency, Sir James Bevan, predicts that 25 years from now England will not have enough water to meet demand.

This will be as a result of climate change, a rising population and shrinking supply.

650 million people in the world
do not have access to clean water

70% of the earth is covered with water but only about 1% of the world’s water is readily available for human use

If everyone in the UK cut one minute off their shower we would save 1,420 million litres of water a year

A leaky tap that drips one drip per second can waste more than 11,300 litres a year!

We need to act now, before it's too late!
